Everyone seems to have their own definition of what constitutes “waterproof.”
For that reason, this rating system was created to present you with a simple way to compare the level of AMPHIBIOUS water-tightness.
These ratings offers the consumer a way to quickly and easily understand the level of water-tightness among various products.
The parameters considered for this evaluation are: the closure systems, any external traditional or semi-dry zip.
The class 1 is the lighter classification and the 7 the higher.
The waterproof classification:
CLASS 1:
Water resistant for light rain or light splash applications. Not suitable for long water exposures. (TRADITIONAL zip)
CLASS 2:
Water resistant in the event of rain. Accidental drop in water for few minutes. (SEMI-DRY zip closure system)
CLASS 3:
Water resistant in the event of heavy rain or water jets. Accidental drop in water (not for ZENITH and ONIX). Waterproof for water jets. (SEMI-DRY zip closure system and/ or WATERPROOF PROTECTION CAP)
CLASS 4:
Water resistant and floating.
This is the first class we refer to as truly watertight. Suitable for underwater sports up to 1 mt of depth for short time. The product is suitable for heavy use, professional and OUTDOOR activities.

CLASS 5:
Water resistant and floating.
Suitable for underwater sports up to 1 mt of depth for short time. The product is suitable for heavy use, professional and OUTDOOR activities in very long exposure (Caving, Canyonig, Rafting etc)

CLASS 6:
Waterproof and submersible to depths up to 6 mt
This is the first class we refer to as really able for submersion. Common applications include professional activities as Search & Rescue, leasure as Rafting, Canoeing, Caving, and all OUTDOOR sports.We recommend to enter into the product a desiccant bag to avoid condensation and possible contact with electronic parts that could cause harm.

CLASS 7:
Waterproof and submersible to depths up to 50 mt. Common applications include professional activities as Search & Rescue, leasure as Scuba diving, Rafting, Canoeing, Caving, and all OUTDOOR sports.We recommend to enter into the product a desiccant bag to avoid condensation and
possible contact with electronic parts that could cause harm.
